Watch Dollhouse Episodes

On January 22, 2010, the last and final episode of the Dollhouse aired. It was dubbed “Epitaph Two: Return,” and mimics the unaired season 1 finale, Epitaph One.

The problem with the fact that Epitaph Two takes off immediately after Epitaph One, is that the first episode was never aired on television. This means anyone who didn’t look online, buy the DVD set, or go to ComicCon never saw this episode. Several people were confused. We have Epitaph One available for viewing, but I can’t help but wish that it aired on TV right before the last episode of Dollhouse.

In Season 1, Dollhouse lightly delved into the complexities of wiping a person’s mind, with mini-plots compacted into a single episode. In Season 2, it took on the dilemma on a deeper level, struggling with the concept of humanity and the dangers of technology, a huge sci-fi theme. Mainly this happened to lead up to the apocalyptic episode Epitaph One.

Epitaph One

The world of Epitaph One was a place where there were no longer any Actual humans left, just Dolls. A handful of Actuals are introduced and they are searching for Safe Haven, a place founded by Caroline (Echo) that is supposed to be Tech Free. They discover the Los Angeles Dollhouse, where a Dr Sanders (Whiskey) is found to be in permanent Doll-mode. She installs a hard drive onto a child the Actuals traveled with, which turned the child into Caroline. She begins to show the Actuals the way to Safe Haven when the episode ends.

This is the series finale of Dollhouse.

It’s the year 2020, and the world is in chaos. Taking off directly after Epitaph One, Epitaph Two follows the Actuals as they meet Echo and Ballard, who are on the Good Fight to save the world. They abduct Topher, who may have a plan to save them all….

Do not miss this episode! It ties every loose string from the complex plot of Dollhouse until even the short life and quick death feel satisfying.

Dollhouse, s2e13, Epitaph Two: Return

In case you were looking for the Dollhouse finale, you have not missed it yet! Originally planned to air on January 22, 2010, the show was postponed for the Haiti relief telethon. So tonight, January 29, 2010, will be the series and Season 2 finale, dubbed “Epitaph Two: The Return.”

Oh, did you hear about Amazon’s technical glitch this morning? It was between the hours of midnight and three that Amazon accidentally released the finale on their website for purchase. It was available for an hour before someone reported the mistake and it was removed. I hope no one spoils it for us!

So far, I have heard that the episode ties all loose ends, making it a complete, action-packed episode. After all, they had to squeeze ten years of plot into a single hour, so I can’t image what Whedon and Dushku were able to pull off.

About the cancellation of the show, most of us can just assume that the Friday night time slot was the main cause of death. But in an interview with LA Times, Eliza Dushku was asked about her opinion:

“I think it’s easy to point fingers at the end and play coulda/shoulda/woulda.I think initially Fox was really excited about Joss and I teaming up, and I think they were excited about the concept, even though Joss has expressed that maybe the concept that they’d thought up and the concept that he created … maybe there was a disconnect there.”

So it does not matter why the show was canceled, just relish in the finale (and you can always go back and watch all of season 1 and season 2 over again!). It will air tonight at 8PM, an hour before the usual time-slot. I bet tonight’s numbers are going to be way higher than the rest of the episodes! The rest average between 2-2.12 million viewers.

The series is ending, and this is more than just the Season 2 finale: it is the last episode of Dollhouse, ever. It will air on January 29, 2010.

Joss Whedon has the ball rolling towards the end of this season, giving us some unexpected surprises. Here is a summary of the series finale:

It’s the year 2020, exactly a year after the “Epitaph One” episode from Season 1 (Watch Season 1, Episode 13, “Epitaph One” before “Epitaph Two!”). There is only one Actual left (played by Felicia Day) and she travels with an imprint of Caroline. Their goal is to find the fabled Save Haven which Echo/Caroline founded for any remaining Actuals (actually human, not a Doll). Echo’s goal is to assemble her allies and form a plan to restore order to the devastated future of humanity – or else mankind is destroyed forever.

Caroline’s memories were stored on a wedge, but that wedge is now missing, so Echo cannot become her old self. Because Caroline knew the identity of Rossum’s head, Adelle has Bennett captured to repair Caroline’s backup wedge (which was damaged by Alpha in season 1). But the identity of the leader is shocking..

Today is December 30, 2009, and I just discovered that it is Eliza Dushku’s 29^th birthday! With the news of a cancelled show, it probably isn’t the best birthday she has ever had, but at least Dollhouse is going out with a bang.

In November, FOX decided to cancel Dollhouse, but it seems that as soon as it did, creator Joss Whedon decided to bring out the big guns. By this I mean that Dollhouse has evolved into a fast-paced, intellectual TV show rather than the slow confusing mess that it was. Every time they’ve played an episode since their return in December, I’ve honestly had to re-watch each episode; it is that good now.

Hopefully one day, another network may pick up on Dollhouse instead of letting it lay at two seasons. There is so much potential for this topic that it would be a waste to just get rid of it. I think the perfect match for Dollhouse would be SyFy.

Also, it would be a great idea to resurrect a mid-line between Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. Since those were the only two shows he had a great hit with, and since the trends of vampires is back with Twilight and The Vampire Diaries, it would most likely be a success- – after all, BtVS was hilarious, emotional, and memorable. And Eliza Dushku’s role as Faith is unforgettable: “I’m 5 by 5, B,” she’d always say. Let’s hope she remains this way after Dollhouse is off the air.

Alpha has returned, and he’s back with a vengeance: he’s killing every repeat romantic engagement Echo has ever worked. Meanwhile, Echo is locked in a padded room in a straight jacket while DeWitt faces political drama in the Dollhouse: she is no longer in charge. The plot thickens when Topher creates a portable mind-whipping device, so it seems like the rest of Season 2 will reveal how Season 1, Episode 13, Epitaph One, came into being. Especially when DeWitt gives that device to the new heads of the Dollhouse…

Dollhouse, s2e8, A Love Supreme

Echo is out in the real world, mind whipped and permanently in Doll mode. When she’s starving and hunting for food, she inadvertently gets a Spanish woman arrested for food theft. Then she meets up with Agent Ballard and decide to break her out–but something is going on with Echo. She has access to every single personality that was ever stored inside of her mind, except for the one person she originally was. At least, she can do anything she wants and be anyone she wants to be while she tries to break Gelena out of prison..

This episode aired December 11, 2009, back to back with A Love Supreme as a two-hour special. December 18 is the last of the two hour specials for Dollhouse, and only 4 more episodes are left before Season 2 and the Dollhouse series is over.

Dollhouse, s2e8, Meet Jane Doe

I love the show Dollhouse! I’ve been a fan of Joss Whedon from the Buffy days and think that the Whedonverse is highly original and brilliant.  I’ll be a sad, sad girl when the show Dollhouse stops airing – I’m already disappointed that it has been cancelled.

This is the second episode aired on December 4, 2009, as a part of the new back-to-back episodes of Dollhouse.
When Echo and Bennett have a shocking encounter, DeWitt goges head-to-head with teh cold and ruthless head of Washington DCs Dollhouse, Stewart Lipman (guest star Ray Wise). Victor becomes involved by Topher’s insistance in a branch of espionage while Senator Perrin struggles to control his investigation on the Dollhouse.

Dollhouse, s2e6, The Left Hand

This was the first episode in the first night of back-to-back episodes of Dollhouse.
The United States Senator Daniel Perrin has a goal: to bring down the Dollhouse. For the first time, he faces danger when he becomes a material witness. Echo is sent on a mission to stop him while DeWitt and Topher go to Washington, DC. Special guest star: Summer Glau, who apparently has a mysterious connection to Echo’s past.

Here are some of my favorite wallpapers from the TV show Dollhouse. These are ones of Eliza Dushku who plays Echo, the protaganist of the show. She is a Doll, someone whose mind has been erased and can be replaced at a whim by the owners of the Dollhouse. It’s a great show and Eliza Dushku looks great. She makes my computer background beautiful.

So there has been some depressing news about our new Whedonverse show. After the ratings dropped from last seasons average (3.7 million to 2.9 million), Dollhouse has been cancelled.

As we know, the last episode aired October 23, 2009. The show was taking a break as they filmed more episodes, and is going to return on December 4. December 4, 11, and 18 are going to make up for the hiatus: each night will have 2 back-to-back new episodes! Even though the show has been cancelled, all 13 episodes will air as planned, with the finale date January 22, 2010.

Cast member Summer Glau is going to be a recurring character in the last 9 episodes that are on the schedule.

Well, I for one cannot wait until December 4, where we will get to see the 2-hour episode “The Left Hand.”

It is a sad, sad day in the Whedonverse. Will he ever have another hit like Buffy?
