This episode of Dollhouse was produced to show the network that Dollhouse could be created on a low budget income. Through technicalities by the network, it was never aired on TV, but it was showed at ComicCon and added to the DVD collection for Season 1.

This episode is set in the future. The technology which creates Dolls was stolen by the Japanese and used to change the entire world into mindless Dolls, as a form of mass super soldiers. There are a few regular people left, who prove it by tattooing their real names on their back in order for people to know if they have been mind wiped. But there is legend of a woman – Echo/Caroline – who founded a safehaven for the real people left in the world. But how do they get there…?

What a wild episode! It all starts with a crazy experimental drug that deals with memory issues, and it spreads like wild fire! There are some pretty funny moments – if you saw the commercials, head of Rossem Security has a hilarious moment where his gun is just too “heavy,” and active Victor, as a NSA guy, gets to take his gun away. Echo starts off on another assignment, but goes way off her assignment and ends up in the middle of everything – and miraculously, she’s the one that catches the “bad guy.” You may want to watch this a few times – it’s pretty crazy!

In this crazy episode of Dollhouse on Fox, there are so many twists to the story that your head will be spinning by the end. Joss Whedon claimed this episode would be a turning point in the story, with a great focus on what he is best known for – unique story lines, action, and good narrative. The storyline definitely lived up to expectations with this episode – there is something very wrong going on with Sierra inside the Dollhouse, and Echo’s current mission is interrupted suddenly. Agent Ballard briefly gets his target inm sight again, but also bonds with his neighbor. You just won’t expect the ending here!

In the fifth episode of the first Dollhouse season, Dollhouse is asked to assist in an investigation with the FBI. The FBI has been trying to infiltrate and get information on a cultist like group that stays to themselves. The head of the group has been involved in questionable activity in the past and the FBI think he is up to no good. They use Echo to infiltrate the group as a blind woman. Agent Ballard gets an unexpected break in his case that just makes it even more confusing… and even more worth investigating. Also, not everyone working in the Dollhouse is working towards the same goal!

Also, Agent Ballard finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time…

We also learn more about Dr. Saunders’ scars in this episode and we get a lot of background about “Alpha,” a renegade Active who the company hunted after.

This is the first episode of the series “Dollhouse.” In this episode, you are interested to Echo who is one of the “Actives” in the Dollhouse. In this series, the Dollhouse is able to wipe clean memory and implant personalities, which allows the Actives to take on different persona for money. In this episode, Echo plays both a lovestruck girl in one part and a kidnapping negotiator in another part. She is also being sought after by FBI Agent Paul Ballard who can’t seem to let go the fact that the Dollhouse exists.
